Steve Parkinson is an AAT Licensed Accountant and Partner at the Parkinson Partnership, providing specialist advice on VAT and financial matters for local councils. Steve has 34 years experience in the public and voluntary sectors, previously spending 14 years as a Town Clerk for Alton in Hampshire and delivering training in the local council sector for 12 years. In this session Steve will give an introduction to VAT for local councils, best practices and common pitfalls to avoid, and latest VAT changes in the sector.
