This week our question to you was: "What was a difficult challenge for you this financial year end, and how did you overcome this? Did your actions allow you to spend your time usefully elsewhere?!"

We particularly loved hearing Zoe's story and wanted to share her success with you!

As I am sure is the case with many clerks, Zoe found the biggest challenge this audit season was working remotely via Zoom. Zoe prefers working face to face as she feels more decisions can be made, it is easier to read a person and their body language and in turn a greater depth on conversation can be had.

Zoe felt this year end went particularly smoothly having used Scribe to manage her Parish Councils’ accounts, and describes the experience as “much easier, less stress, more time for all the little jobs and training”. Zoe was not only able to attend multiple training sessions that benefited her knowledge, but also spend more time focusing on wider parish council issues.

Zoe is enjoying feeling confident in something that she felt she had not much experience in, and really values knowing that she has “knowledgeable and friendly staff able to answer any of my questions no matter how small they may have been”.
