Celebrating a Year of Innovations: The Final Release of 2023 from Scribe

As we wrap up a remarkable year, we're thrilled to announce our final release of 2023, which includes the groundbreaking Scribe Bookings Dashboard (which i worked on!), and significant updates across our product range. This year-end release symbolises our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, ensuring that our clients have access to the most efficient and user-friendly tools in the market.

Scribe Bookings

After completing the dashboard for Scribe Accounts, i moved onto Bookings. In the fast-paced world of booking and event management, staying on top of numerous metrics and data is crucial. Recognising this need, we are excited to announce the release of our new Scribe Bookings Dashboard. This innovative tool is designed to provide booking clerks and management staff with a comprehensive and concise overview of all booking operations.

Key Features of the Scribe Bookings Dashboard

Data Cards for Quick Insights:

• No. of Bookings (last 90 days): Easily add new bookings with a single click.
• Revenue (last 90 days): Total revenue for all bookings made in the past 90 days
• Outstanding Payments: Quickly access all outstanding payments to keep finances in check.
• Number of Enquiries: Stay updated on all customer enquiries.
• Provisional Bookings: Access provisional bookings with ease, ensuring no opportunity is missed.
• Active Bookings (Next 90 days): View upcoming bookings in a calendar format for better planning.
• Occupancy Rate (next 90 days): A vital metric, offering insights into space utilisation.

Visual Representations for Enhanced Understanding:

• Monthly Revenue Comparison (£): A bar chart displays the total revenue generated from bookings over the past 6 months and forecasts for the next 6 months.
• Facility Usage Breakdown (%): Understand how different venues are performing with a comprehensive pie chart showing the percentage of bookings for each venue over the past 6 months and forecasts for the next 6 months.

Minor fixes

• Enquiries Feature Update: A new field has been added to show the date when an enquiry was made, allowing for filtering in date order.
• Booking Over Buffer Times: A regression error has been fixed, allowing booking administrators to book venues over buffer times.
• Calendar Default View Setting: Bug fixed, we now remember your last view in the calendar.
• CRM and Bookings Integration: An issue with the CRM not updating correctly with customer contacts in the bookings module has been addressed.

Scribe Accounts

We have introduced 17 significant improvements to Scribe Accounts, focusing primarily on reporting functionalities. These enhancements aim to streamline financial processes, improve accuracy, and offer more in-depth insights into your financial data.

1. Budgeting Report Enhancement: The Budgeting Report now displays the total of actual plus forecast.
2. Committed Spend Report Update: In the Committed Spend report, six digits are now truncated for better readability.
3. VAT Summary Report Improvement: The VAT Summary report includes a date input on the screen for user convenience.
4. Account Statement Enhancements: Footer notes have been added to the Account Statement reports.
5. Annual Return Format Update: Commas are now used for separation in the annual return for clarity.
6. Account Statement Location Change: The Account Statement has been moved to be shown under List Reports for easier access.
7. Bank Report Option Addition: In Accounts/Any Bank report, there's now an option to show Cashed and order by Cashed Date.
8. Account Statement Display Fix: The issue causing an 'oh dear' message in the Account Statement has been resolved.
9. Payments Awaiting Authorisation Feature: An approval signature has been added to the Payments Awaiting Authorisation.
10. Monthly Report Formatting: Monthly Reports now repeat headings on each page for consistency.
11. Zero Value Rows Option: An option has been added to remove zero value rows from reports.
12. Import Transactions & Cost Codes Update: Updates have been made to the Import feature for Transactions & Cost Codes.
13. Import Function Expansion: The import function now supports the import of Sales Invoices and Purchase Orders.
14. Allocating Adjustments Update: Adjustments allocation will no longer allow a blank organisation.
15. CRM Organisations Feature: A new Code field has been added to CRM Organisations.
16. Adjustments for New Customers Update: Adjustments for new customers will now allow adding rows.
17. Power Used to Spend: s.3, s.33, s.19 codes now added

We also supported print view for the dashboard, which has been requested a lot.

Scribe Allotments

A beta version of mapping functionality for Scribe Allotments has been released. This new feature is set to revolutionise the way allotments are managed, offering a more visual and interactive approach.
